BAPL has implemented advanced information technologies to ensure accurate, real-time information regarding our inventories and customer balances. Through our customer portal, much of this information is being provided to our customers to assist them in better managing their business(s).

Enterprise Requirement Planning (ERP) System
We use the ERP system of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for Logistics (inventory, purchasing and sales) and Finance (accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger). JDE is a fully-integrated system that has been used by Hong Kong and our China plants since 1998. Our customer portal interacts directly with JDE to provide you with up-to-date information regarding inventory, sales orders and receivable balances.

Inventory Management
Bar code systems have recently been implemented to ensure better inventory control. Bar code systems help to eliminate human error,improve speed and efficiency, increase accuracy of inventory balances and provide for individual pallet tracking so that quality issues can easily be identified, isolated and minimized should they occur.

Bar Coding – Bar coding is digitally printed consisting of information that is printed on a label or product. It works with a vehicle-mounted or handheld scanner that communicates with a backend system. |
